The "Dawn" event started with enthusiasm in our observatory. The exhibition on the Impact of Sunsopts on Earth Climate" was inaugurated by hon. Shri. Kamal Kishor Kadam (former minister of education, gov. of Maharashtra state). Dr. mrs. Geeeta S. Lathkar (director, MGM's College of Engineering, Nanded) was present during the whole function.
Movies about the Sun and the IYA2009 trailer were projected and we observed the Sun with a Meade 14" telescope with solar filter.
